This is a great way for those looking to start or open a second career in the aviation industry - all while getting paid for it. This program supports new Apprentice techs for their first 18-24 months in Job Training, upon completion they have the opportunity to become a certified mechanic.

Our facilities are open 24 hours a day almost every day of the year. Most of our interns work four days a week, ten hours each. Schedules are assigned to new interns based on business needs.

All cadets undergo two weeks of initial training where they learn the basics of aircraft maintenance. It's a combination of class and hands on shop time. After that, they are assigned to the crew and begin to work in the hanger on the live plane under the guidance of the guidance mechanism.

Most of our Apprentice Mechanic positions are located in Everett, Washington. We also have some in Kansas City, Missouri and some in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Aircraft Maintenance Technician Tuition Payment Program

There are three levels of Apprenticeships and each is designed to last approximately 6 months for a total of 18 months. However, this period is only a guideline. The transition from one level to another is based on the ability of the students and may be a little faster or slower.

Once an Apprentice completes the third Apprentice level and graduates, they automatically become a Flight Mechanic (which comes with a pay rise) and continue to work for ATS, usually for the same staff and supervisor.

Yes. Students are given a list of basic tools they are expected to bring and use in their work.

Yes. After a minimum of 18 months, the Apprentice Mechanic can qualify to become an FAA Certified Repairer. After that, the mechanic may be eligible to study and test to become an FAA certified aircraft mechanic. ATS offers guidance on processing and payment of trial fees.

This includes all measures and precautions taken to ensure that each aircraft is safe and airworthy. This can range from pre-flight inspections, 50 and 100 hour inspections and annual inspections through advanced inspections to drone and predictive maintenance.

This type of work means you may need to become an FAA Certified Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT). This aircraft maintenance technician training will prepare you for electronic checks, functional checks, troubleshooting and troubleshooting in a variety of occupations and trades.
